Snowflake Tussie Mussie/ 1st Design Team Project for Mama's Treasures on Zibbet

Greetings crafty friends!!! I am super excited that I get to be a guest designer for this month of December for the Zibbet shop Mama's Treasures. I got a great DT package for this month and when I seen the beautiful lace that Rebekah sent me, I knew that I wanted to make something of course Christmas themed and what I like about this trim is that the dangle looks like its got snowflakes on there. I weaved some red ribbon on the top of this lace trim. I added some red rinestones that are in the shop as well. I added some of the dangles from that same lace on the bottom of the tussie mussie with some rinestones hanging from there. I added some red trim from my stash with some white flat back trim. The final piece I added was a home made red flower that was given to me in a secret santa package from xmas last year. I hope that you can have fun making these to give gifts inside of them. xoxo

Steampunk Album

Hi all! I'm back with some more projects that I'm gradually trying to catch up on this blog. Its been difficult ever since my laptop gave out. Anyhow this here project I made for Basically Bare Design Team. I love this album that is called Delightful Doors, I love it cuz it looks like a gatefold album, you can take it apart just like I did and rearrange the pages inside of it just like you can with many of the other spiral albums. I also used a combination of Graphic45 Steampunk Debutante and Marion Smiths Nirvana and Timekeeper. I tried to put all pictures in some kind of order. Please take a look at all the products at Basically Bare

Halloween Top Hat for Gone Artsy

Me again! This is a project that I did in a Live Ustream Class for the Zibbet store Gone Artsy where I am currently a guest designer for. The class was back in Oct. but by know am sure you are all aware that I was just able to get on a real computer to update my blog. Tomorrow I will be updating my videos on YouTube. Anyhow I had a great time during this live class and I want to Thank everyone who joined me. I had a paper mache top hat that I knew would be easy and fast to make. I used black felt, some black cheese cloth and some great laces from Gone Artsy as well as some from my stash. I had won the skeleton from another live class I attended . The mask is from GA as well. I took apart some red nagorie goose feathers for the sides of the mask. ~Thanks for taking a look at my project!! xoxo

Bridal Headpiece and Bracelet Set

I am back with another project for Gone Artsy, a shop on Zibbet that carries beautiful laces, bling, accessories for weddings, just to name a few. I was very excited to make this Bridal set!! I used one of the silver metal headbands, I used some fabric stiffener to shape and adhere the beautiful applique and then finished it off with this amazing strand of flowered bling. For the bracelet, I had a wide silver bracelet that I have never used so I thought I would put it to use to make a matching bracelet . I used the same fabric stiffener on the other applique that I cut a little bit shorter to fit the bracelet, then I used the last bling flower on the center . I had some flat back pearls with some bling around it, I used a couple for the sides of the flower.
I tried to model it on myself , it was a little hard because I made it for a bride to wear her hair up. I guess if it was styled nicely it can be worn like a band as well. Anyhow ,  I hope that this was something different than what you have maybe seen before. Take a look at all the amazing products that Deb sells in her shop. Just click the link above!!! Thanks~

Vintage Tag and Easel Set

Hi again!! As I mentioned before in a previous post and in my Facebook site, I have been without a computer for a while now and it was very hard for me to update my blog or anything. Luckily my sweet son let me use his computer to do so !
So this next project I want to share with you is my 3rd Design Team Project for Basically Bare. They carry a broad range of albums you can take apart, paper the pages. I enjoyed making this set, I combined a tag with a protective box to store it in and the Easy Easel that Basically Bare carries. I do have full description of the process of this combo if you would like to see it at Basically Bare Blog . Thanks~

Shabby Chic Lace Book

Hi everyone! So I was finally able to update my blog, my son actually let me use his computer! It's just a headache to move pictures around and to remember some of the steps that I did on my project. So please be patient with me. This is my 2nd Design Team Project for Basically Bare!
Anyhow, I was super excited to do this project only because ever since I seen the Artful Binder (8.5X11) , I knew immediately what I wanted to make. I have some beautiful venice laces that I have in my stash that I like to hoard. I'm sure alot of you know where I am coming from! So I wanted a place to store them, I have seen many people use these lace books to store them. I won't go into full detail on every step I did but if you would like to know the steps I did in more detail then you can take a look at my post on the Basically Bare Blog, click Here, I hope that you like what I did and can get inspired to purchase one of these Binders that come in many sizes, they also come with additional insert packets. You can find those and many other products at Basically Bare Online Shop

"Tiny Tabs Mini Album" 1st DT Project for Basically Bare

Hi everyone! I got some exciting news a while back and thought that I had shared it here with you. I'm so use to posting on my Facebook that I sometimes forget to share here as well. But I had applied for a design team spot for a company called Basically Bare , I will post their info at the bottom of my post. Anyhow they are a great company who's products are great for any kind of crafting you might do from mixed media to mini albums, what makes them unique is the different materials that they use in their  products. Which are unbleached canvas sheets, corrugated board, chipboard, stiffened felt, flexible acrylic sheets that can be embossed or used with other techniques like stamping, stenciling, spraying, painting, etc . The possibilities are endless. Anyhow here is my 1st project I did for them. It is this adorable album called "Tiny Tabs" , I made it into a coloring book using my stamps from Santoro Gorjuss Girls. I have posted full details to this project over at the Basically Bare Blog but I had posted a video preview on my Facebook craft page , click Here, as well as a full detailed video on my YouTube channel. I hope you enjoy my video and please take a look at the wide variety of products you can find at the Basically Bare Online Store

"Wooden Spool Snippet Roll"

Hi all! So here is a "tiny" project that I did during a Ustream class for the Zibbet store Gone Artsy, where I am a guest designer this season. This class was meant not only to share some of the beautiful laces/trims that Deb carries in her shop, but some of the laces are so functional that you are able to cut them in sections and use them this way or if you stay with an inch or so of left over trims and/or fabrics of anykind, we as crafters all know that we all have this certain storage bin or basket where we keep our tiny remnants that we just don't want to throw away because they might come in handy sometime. It is kind of a "crafting hoarder) thing lol !!! Anyhow, with these snippet rolls, you are not only able to use up those itsy bitsy pieces of  doilies, trims, fabric, etc, .. you can also add some buttons, charms, pins, as well as photo transfers to the fabric that you use as the base. I will post a link to my Ustream class and you are able to find similar projects on Pinterest and YouTube. Here are a few photos of  my cutesy snippet roll! You can display it rolled up on a shelf or you can hang it up by the seam binding that holds it together, and display the different trims and embelllishments. Its all about recycling!! Plus you end up with super cute projects that can also be made for friends as gifts! I hope you like it and please take a look at my Ustream class. Thanks again!

A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING

Hi everybody! Its been a little while I know. I am still working on this blog because for some strange reason, most of my most recent photos were gone, some of my earlier posts when I started my blog, the writing on it is strange and I know I didn't do that haha!
Anyhow I just wanted to share with you some projects I've finished up. I am still working on a mixed media resist canvas album, but I got anxious to share with you these other projects so I hope you like what you see! Comments welcome!! xoxo
This here is my altered Tim Holtz configuration box. I've had it tucked away in my stash for a while, figured it was time to play! I enjoyed painting it, using Prima "The Archivist" paper on it, I used some washi tape on the edges of the inner cubes, then just looked for some small embellishments that would kinda go together. Although I have seen some similar boxes others have made with alot of embelllishments inside, I do like how it looks but I wanted mine different. To finish the look I embossed that beautiful chipboard dressform that my bff Amy Love gifted me for my bday!! xoxo

Next is a try at little of mixed media! I sure enjoyed this canvas. Of course gotta keep a little bit of my vintage signature on it ! Used a wonderful paper line called "Vintage Time" by Craft&You. I also used a beautiful image from some Pion paper I have in my stash! I really loved how girly it turned out!!

Here is the 1st card I have made, besides the easel card I a while back. This one extremely special because it was made with love for my crafty bestie Amy Love Watston for her bday on Sept. 5th! I used plain white cardstock to build the base, I then used a sheet of the beautiful paper "Bella Rose" from First Edition, then I used a little bit of cheese cloth for added dimension, with a lightly embossed grey cardstock that matched the color of the design paper. I embossed the chipboard "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" using some Lindy's embossing powder. I then adhered a paper doily, & added that adorable image of those cute ballerinas. I added that beautiful fabric flower from Prima and added that stunning piece of bling as the center. I hope you can get inspired by my creation just as I was inspired to make it. xoxo ~Besos~
