"My Valentine" Acrylic Tags

Hi Crafty Friends! Jeanne here back with my second project of the month and also this short but fun tutorial on how I created these Valentines Days tags.

I was debating for a little bit whether or not it was too early for Valentine projects but every time I tried thinking of how I wanted to create using the Acrylic Tag Album (Product Code: CSATAGS) I came back to the idea of Valentine themed. So here they are!!

I began with selecting which two acrylic tags I would be using from the packet. I also decided I would also use the Lace Doily Border Stencil Product Code: CSSMBRLACEDOILY  to begin my tags!

I had this texture paste I wanted to try, it is Seth Apter IZINK Texture Paste, this along with Finnabair Mica Powders. I mixed in the lighter pink mica powder with the texture paste and applied it onto the stencil on both acrylic tags. I let them air dry while I decided what paper collection I would use.

I received a variety of lace papers, there was a couple of border lace papers with hearts on them I decided to use. I used a little of Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink around the edges of these papers and adhered them onto the bottom of the tags. Next I picked out the paper collection I would use which is "With Love" collection from Prima Marketing (Frank Garcia) I only cut about 1/4 in square of a couple of the papers and then tore them using my fingers for a distressed look and adhered them to areas on the acrylic tag.
Next I began playing around with some beautiful Prima Marketing flowers, some from this same collection.

Once I put the flowers where I wanted them, I first adhered some pieces of white cheese cloth and the flowers using Fabri Tac. This holds the flowers in place much faster than a white liquid glue (at least this what works with me on acrylic). I began embellishing using the Wooden Stickers, Puff Stickers and Ephemera from the With Love collection. I used some Pink Fresh Metallic Gold Dots adhering them throughout the tags. Also added soft pink, white and mint colored pearls, which actually look like teal colored in my photos.
Note: I did also use foam tape and foam tape on some of the flowers as well as the wooden stickers, for added dimension. Lastly using the Finnabair Vintage Roses Mica Powder (white), I mixed it with water and using a splatter brush, I made some splatters on the tags. I love how it looks once dry.

Well Crafty Friends, I hope this tutorial is inspirational and easy to create as it was for me. I really love creating shabby chic projects. If I have never mentioned it, it is my ultimate favorite style of crafting!
I would love to see what you create using the Tag Album or just the tags alone. Either way they are fun to create!! I will be back in a week or so with my final project for January!
Until then have fun creating!

Hugs,

"'Friends"

Happy New Year Crafty Friends! Jeanne here back with an awesome outlook on life and I hope you all are doing great and I wish you a prosperous New Year!

Today I would like to share with you my first project of the year for Clear Scraps! I have created this "Friends" Wooden Desktop Frame Product Code: CSWDTFRIENDS . This features my grand daughters and their cousin, they are friends just as much as being cousins. I ended up giving it to my daughter during my visit.

I began by painting the frame using Folk Art Ballet Pink Acrylic Paint around the entirety. I used a sponge brush to paint this. Next I picked out papers from Frank Garcia called "Just like Magic" collection.

I then printed my photo and adhered it to the base area then the frame. I added flowers from Prima Marketing, which I love! Finished it off with buttons, I thought they looked super cute, then added a few pearls.

I hope that you like what I have created as my first project of the year for Clear Scraps. I am excited to share with you the ideas I have for this year. Again, I hope I have sprinkled some inspiration. I will be back with another project so stay tuned!
