Hi friends! This week I'm back with a tag that I made for Secret Garden Crafts Flower store! This week was "Anything Goes " , I really was thinking that I wish it was still summer, even though I love all of the upcoming holiday's! Anyhow I decided to use this summer themed paper from Prima, St. Tropez! Its one of the newest collections from Frank Garcia.
I began by trimming a thick cardstock that was part of some packaging from some chipboard I had previously received. So thought I would recycle and use this instead. I measured and cut the paper from the collection. Before adding the paper I added pieces of cheese cloth and burlap to the chipboard tag then added the paper, I adhered everything using Fabri tac adhesive and the began embellishing using ephemera , Say It In Crystals, shells, twine, small pearls and the beautiful flowers from Secret Garden Crafts.

I really enjoyed making this tag because Fall is here now so just wanted to bring one last piece of summer to you! I also want to say that this will be my last project for Secret Garden Crafts. I wish I could have stayed but was misunderstanding what the required projects were due to my fibromyalgia (Brain Fog) so I decided it was best for my health I do this. Although they aren't complicated at all, I think I had different expectations instead of being on a card making design team. But I do however thank Archana for giving me a chance. I'll be back again with other projects so I hope u will be on the look out for those and thank u for checking out my blog today. xoxo, Jeanne

DT Project for Secret Garden Crafts

I'm back crafty friends! This week I'm sharing the 2nd DT project for Secret Garden Crafts for the month of Sept. This week our inspirational projects for you were to make either a card or a tag that included a doily. I decided to make a card size I had yet to make. So I decided on the three fold or tri fold tall card.

I began by using an 8.5 X 11 white card stock. I only had to trim of 1/2 of it. So with the 8 X 11 paper I scored it at 3.5 in at each side. I wanted to use some of the Prima Heaven Scent paper that I've had in my stash. Since the Heaven Sent II collection is already out, I really would love to have it. But I need to quick hoarding and use up what I have. Anyhow so a picked out two patterns of the papers from the A5 paper pad. I measured and cut it to size, I then cut it in long stripe pieces and adhering them.  I then added a white paper doily that I had received in some happy mail, it seems to be a die cut. Its a thick white card stock that was used. It was just the right size for the width of my card.

Once I adhered the paper I picked out a silhouette cut out dress form and chandelier embellishment that I got from Want2Scrap.  I glued these on, then had already decided on using one of the gorgeous Prima vines that Archana carries in her online store Secret Garden Crafts. I added just one of the Large White Gardenias that I received in my September DT package.

Before adhering the vines down with the white gardenia, I used my black glimmer spray from DecoArts to splatter it around the card. I didn't want to get the spray on the flowers, I only wanted it to get onto the background. I like how it turned out! I hope you like it as well. This was a quick card to make and I hope that you are inspired to try making different sizes of cards for different occasions. I didn't add a sentiment because with some of my cards I feel that leaving them blank you can use them for any occasions.
Thank you for checking out this weeks project for Secret Garden Crafts and I hope that you will check out the online store where you can save 10% by using the code "SEPT10" plus you can also receive FREE SHIPPING by shopping $50 or more!! Halloween Mini Album from Frank Garcia Mini Album Parcel kit club

Hi friends! I'm back with a very exciting project! I know its a little early for Halloween but I was anxious to make this only because for one it was a special order kit from Frank Garcia! This was not one of the regular monthly kits, this one was a special order for those who wanted a Halloween kit because there are alot of people who don't celebrate Halloween.

This kit came at a perfect time because I was asked by the editor from The Paper Mill blog if I wanted to participate in the Halloween round up on their blog! So this is a great honor and I am very excited for this! So when Frank shared with us what we would be getting I knew I wanted to make that as my feature!!

So the paper that came in the kit was the beautiful "Spell cast" by Pink Paislee!! It's their newest collection and those of us that purchased the kit got the entire collection plus so much extra product from Prima. It has a sort of a vintage theme to it!

I also added some papers that I had in a Halloween Paper pad from Recollections. I had purchased it in a destash and I love it cuz it had glittered paper and other varieties. I also used some WOC flowers as well as the all the neat embellishments that  came with in the kit! Anyhow I'm excited to be featured in the blog for The Paper Mill and I will definetly share it with you all once it goes live!!

Thank you for checking out my blog post and I hope you will subscribe , follow me on here and the rest of my social media sites! xoxo, Jeanne

Carousel Mini Album

Hi friends! I'm excited to share my completed mini album from the August kit from the Frank Garcia Mini Album Parcel Kit Club. I look forward to these every month! It's always a treat when I get these!! I always say I'm gonna make an unboxing video and I'm always so excited but I will def. try to this next month (Sept) , we will be getting a gatefold album with the newest Prima collection Amber Moon.
The month of August though was a wonderful kit!! The album is of course on of the premade albums from Frank Garcia Memory Hardware collection. The paper line this month was the newest from Maggie Holmes Carousel. Its a beautiful collection! But I also combined it using the paper collection "Imagine" from Authentique! It's also very vintage, amusement park themed as well.

Here is the video I made since I took pictures of all of the pages. I hope u like what I made and I am looking forward to showing you my next album that I just completed! It was a special order kit that some of the members had requested. Please follow or subscribe to my blog for more upcoming and exciting new projects and news!! xoxo, Jeanne

1st Mixed Media Card for Secret Garden Crafts!!

Hey friends!! I'm back this week with this great creation for Archana's online store Secret Garden Crafts! This week we all made mixed media cards!! I have been really wanting to try this and I finally was able to do it!! I was very happy with how this turned out!! I hope you will give this a try even if you think you might not be able to! I had fun!!
I began by cutting some ivory card stock 4 1/2 x 5 1/2. I found some paper that a friend had sent me in a RAK so I finally used it!! I love hoarding papers and thought to myself that I really should use it because I think that these papers that I love and want to hoard, I can use them and share with you all how you can make these beautiful papers can end up gorgeous creations!!
So the paper I used were a couple from the Prima Bella Rouge collection! I loved the vintage, dark reds, grays, just to name a few in this collection.
I wanted to use the beautiful dark red flowers from Secret Garden Crafts. I will list what I used from the online store down below at the end of my blog.

I began by distressing the papers, then used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges. I tore in half the paper that was going to be on top. I put one half on the top of the base and the other half at the bottom. I then picked out a chevron stencil I had in my stash, not sure the brand of it. I used some modeling paste from DecoArts on the stencil. I then used some Lindy's spray and some Deco Art Black shimmer and white shimmer sprays on in, I didn't spray it, just splattered on it.
I then had some thread that I had received in a mixed media kit that I had previously purchased. I made a small bundle in the center in between those two papers I had torn. I then embossed a chipboard flourish with Lindy's black powder. I then cut it in half and placed one on top of the thread and the other half on bottom.
I then began adding the flowers from my DT package. I lastly added an embossed chipboard sentiment "Create" , in the center of the flowers, on top of the thread.

2nd DT project for Ideas2Come

Hi friends! This week I'm back with some homemade ephemera that I made for a junk journal that I have been planning on making! I immediately knew that I wanted to make something from some of the products I received from Heather, she is the owner of the Etsy shop Ideas2Come . She had sent me some coffee dyed music sheets along with book papers as well. I decided that I wanted to use some of the Napkin Decoupage that I received from DecoArts as part of my Helping Artists Program Haul. I had gotten some gorgeous napkins in my DT package too! So I first decoupaged the beautiful napkins onto two different glassine bags I had in my stash.

I hope that you will give this a try if you have yet to make your own decoupage glassine bags, they are great for pockets in your junk journals for tags,  ephemera, also if you want to use them for sending some happy mail.
The other project I made was these envelopes I made using the coffee dyed book paper, some of the metal filigrees and lace from Ideas2Come. These were fast and simple to make too!

Thank you so much for checking out my blog post and I hope you will give these a try. I hope to soon make time to make my 1st junk journal once I coffee or tea dye more papers. I'll definetely post it here when I do! xoxo, Jeanne
