Design Team Projects for Tres Jolie for the month of August

Hello crafty friends! I can't believe how quickly this month of August has gone by. Seems like this whole year is going by fast actually! Today I wanted to share with you the projects that I created for Tres Jolie Kits this month.

The first project I created was this beautiful ringed album using the August Cards, Tags & More Kit

I absolutely loved how this turned out. I must admit that I am not much for the color purple but after this, the color purple is definitely growing on me!

I made a pretty short video sharing the album in it's entirety! I hope u like it!

The second project for this month is a layout I created using the August Scrapbook Kit which included these beautiful papers from AB Studios "Diva" collection!

Here is my layout I created with this collection!

Isn't this collection just stunning! I love it! This was a gorgeous collection for sure, very well put together kit.

Lastly my last project for this month was these super cute mini tag books I created using the August Cards, Tags, & More Kit again. I had a couple of sheets left over of some beautiful tags and decided they would be cute for some mini books, I also had fussy cut a few of the ephemera from the ephemera sheets too! Propped them up on foam dots and added some beautiful seam binding from the kit and made these!

I hope that you all like what I created for this month for Tres Jolie Kits! Tomorrow will be the reveal for the month of September so I hope u will come back tomorrow at 10:30 am MST for that reveal here on my blog and also on the Tres Jolie blog. See Ya tomorrow!!

 Hugs,

DT Project for Secret Garden Crafts

I'm back crafty friends! This week I'm sharing the 2nd DT project for Secret Garden Crafts for the month of Sept. This week our inspirational projects for you were to make either a card or a tag that included a doily. I decided to make a card size I had yet to make. So I decided on the three fold or tri fold tall card.

I began by using an 8.5 X 11 white card stock. I only had to trim of 1/2 of it. So with the 8 X 11 paper I scored it at 3.5 in at each side. I wanted to use some of the Prima Heaven Scent paper that I've had in my stash. Since the Heaven Sent II collection is already out, I really would love to have it. But I need to quick hoarding and use up what I have. Anyhow so a picked out two patterns of the papers from the A5 paper pad. I measured and cut it to size, I then cut it in long stripe pieces and adhering them.  I then added a white paper doily that I had received in some happy mail, it seems to be a die cut. Its a thick white card stock that was used. It was just the right size for the width of my card.

Once I adhered the paper I picked out a silhouette cut out dress form and chandelier embellishment that I got from Want2Scrap.  I glued these on, then had already decided on using one of the gorgeous Prima vines that Archana carries in her online store Secret Garden Crafts. I added just one of the Large White Gardenias that I received in my September DT package.

Before adhering the vines down with the white gardenia, I used my black glimmer spray from DecoArts to splatter it around the card. I didn't want to get the spray on the flowers, I only wanted it to get onto the background. I like how it turned out! I hope you like it as well. This was a quick card to make and I hope that you are inspired to try making different sizes of cards for different occasions. I didn't add a sentiment because with some of my cards I feel that leaving them blank you can use them for any occasions.

Layered Garden Card/ 2nd DT Project for Secret Garden Crafts

Hi again crafty friends!! I first would like to send a huge "Thank You" to all the wonderful people that viewed my blog last week for my 1st project for Secret Garden Crafts! Also "Thank You" to Archana and the rest of the Design team members!!

I'm excited to share with you all every week different creations that I hope you get inspired by to try if you haven't already, especially adding the beautiful flowers from WOC that Archana carries in her online store!
This card is a layered card. It's a 6 X 5/12 and as I've mentioned before, I like to cut my base then set it aside then add it at last when I've finished with everything I need to do on it incase I've got distressing to do , spraying, etc. Just so it stays clean.

I then picked out my paper, this paper is from the Jen Hadfield Simple Life collection. I had earlier in March made a mini album using this same paper. I really like the color combination. I chose these colors because I wanted to use the gorgeous Prima flowers that Archana had sent in my DT package. I had also received a matching spray from a destash haul I had recently purchased so I knew they would look well together.
I began by distressing the papers, adding more distress and tearing in some areas on the second piece. I then picked out some cut outs from the collection and some of the matching ephemera . I propped up the cut out card and the ephemera on some pop dots. Lastly I made my flower bouquet out of the Prima Flower Bundle (Yellow), added the yellow matching sprays from my stash, wrapped the flower bundle in some ivory seam binding. I also added some white filler flowers and others from my stash, they will be listed below. Then just adhered it using Fabri Tac wet adhesive.
Overall this card was very simple to make and I hope that you like what I've made.

Shabby Chic card & tag

Hi there crafty friends!! Today I'm back with a couple of projects that I'm very excited to share! Not only are they my 2nd Design Team Projects for Want2Scrap but I actually tried a little mixed media. Nothing too crazy but its a start and I think I'm really gonna enjoy incorporating it into some of my project! Here is my 1st one.

I started out with a chipboard tag from Prima, I picked out the amazingly beautiful paper from Pion Designs that I had purchase over at a great online store Craftycity, this collection is called Paris Flea Market. I adhered the paper onto the tag then cut the paper around the tag, then using my Prima distress tool, I ran it along all the edges so that the paper somewhat blended with the tag. I then used some DecoArt Modeling Paste to lightly stencil half of a stencil from Prima.

I applied some lace at the bottom of the tag that I had in my lace stash, then added some tear drop pearl trim from Ideas2Come.  Then added some bling from Want2Scrap, I added a spool cut out from the paper collection, added a Tilda button to the spool, fussy cut some butterflies from the same paper, used some DecoArt Liquid Glass on them, made them look dimensional. I then I just added the flowers and added a matching ribbon

I hope that you all like what I came up with on this tag. Now I will share my card.

This card I think is one of my favorites that I made. I cut a piece of white card stock to 5 1/2 X 6, I scored it in half then set it aside, I add my piece later onto the cardstock. I first picked out my design paper, I've been hoarding this paper, rarely use it, I will def. be looking to buy another of these paper pads. It's the beautiful paper from First Edition Bella Rose 8x8 paper pad.

I then picked out a couple of the papers I wanted to use, I cut the 1st one just 1/8 smaller in width and length than the white cardstock base. I then cut the other paper just a tad smaller. I also distressed the paper, made some random tearing on it, I wanted to be able to add some lace or cheesecloth in those areas. I ended up just cutting small pieces of tirms and adding them there. I added a  iridecent flatback pearl on each tip of the lace. I then added a chipboard sentiment from Want2Scrap. I added some beautiful Prima flowers/leaves, some pearls to accent the flower cluster. I lastly used some DecoArt white shimmer mist that I just received in my helping artist program.
Thank you for checking out my blog post and please feel free to see the rest of my creations! xoxo, Jeanne
